For programming i usually use JetBrains software, I like that it helps focus on what is important. The code. IntelliJ is what I use most as a Java Programmer. I love how powerful it is and how many different ways you can solve your problem using the editor.
If i carry my laptop with me i will also be carrying this Cooling Pad i bought that can also tilt your laptop a bit so that the keyboard is easier to reach. I like this as it helps with productivity and typing.
I never work without my Corsair mouse and my Corsair mousepad, I need a good high DPI mouse because my laptop’s screen is 4K so with a low DPI mouse i would have to pickup the mouse a couple of times if i would go from left to right on the screen. Very annoying. Also the trackpad is not a solution for me. If i use the trackpad too long i will get RSI like injury/pains.
In my laptop bag I also carry a couple of handy cables. Like one that changes my 3.5mm port to an audio in 3.5mm port and audio out 3.5mm port. I also carry a TP link wireless adapter that I can use for network snooping and other network attacks. And a CD/DVD RW drive, because you never know when you will need to read a CD/DVD.
My daily driver is Windows 10, I have used Arch Linux in the past but I like the windows hands off approach to managing your machine.
